Not in the numbers they used to be Andy. There getting some around North Shore Road as well apparently, but with the current clean flat seas and volume of crabs there should be more caught really. I even caught one a couple of weeks ago.
I liked the program on Karl Warr. I've met him and found him a thoughtful guy who wants to fish in a sustainable way. The current quota, is way to high and not sustainable. Local fish from local fishermen, with local stories, supplying local customer's directly with smaller catch numbers is the way forward for the entire country.
