First time in my life I saw a delivery man who didn't have change. It was £12.75 (including a £2 delivery fee) and I planned on giving £14 which I think is quite generous. Had to give £15 because this clown forgot that you're supposed to have change as a delivery driver. It was a white Scottish guy who unusual for delivery drivers. Most are minorities and/or foreigners. As for the soutzoukakia, I can say that it was filling. It came in a little tray of rice and a couple of small potatoes and in a larger tray were four like oblong meatballs. Taste...you know...it was edible. I didn't spit it out. I ate three and a half of these meatballs. I couldn't eat any more. No way was that £15 worth of food, though. MAYBE I could see paying £10.75 for that (the price of the meal minus delivery fee). But as it is, I'm afraid that the Athena Tavern will not be getting my repeat business. They had a very small menu too. I wonder if given the name of the establishment if it's a public house of some variety. Looks like fine dining, actually. The Tripadvisor reviewers rave over it. That's interesting. Doesn't change my opinion, though. |
