I wouldn't say i've given up. I'm open to the possibility of meeting someone, be it when i'm 40, 50, 60, or even 70, 80 or 90. But i'm not actively looking for a relationship, primarily because - while nowhere near as bad as I once was - I still have social anxiety and low self-esteem. And probably some deeper emotional issues, I guess. That makes the prospect of developing a relationship seem hard, especially when I don't have much prior experience to fall back on (out of my 34 years, i've spent 2 of them in relationships, with over half of those being online, and nothing for 15 years). BTW, your source is the dodgy right wing website Breitbart, which I can see from the link appears to blame this apparent male disconnect from women on feminism. While i'm hardly Valerie Solanas myself, I don't think i'll be investigating further. |
