Still, £2000...and I worked 19 days. It's not much. It's okay, I guess. For a regular office job. £24,000/year. That's pretty good. I see a lot of ads for office jobs for like £15,000/year.
But for a professional, highly-skilled job like this? It's no good.
I don't seem to be saving much money either. I've been at £20,000 for some considerable time. Yeah, it was a big expense moving here. And I didn't work for a couple of months during the moving period. And there was one month where I wasn't paid because the company went out of business. That was like £600 or something.
But...I don't know. Rent is much cheaper here. I mean, £2000 and £540 rent, that's no problem. The guide is not to pay more than 1/3 of your income on rent. I don't know if this is pre or post tax. The figures I give are all before tax. Still, I should be okay using that guide.
Haven't been going out much either. Just got that wienerschnitzel with that rude and unattractive Vietnamese woman. That didn't set me back too far.
Speaking of Tinder women, I recently reinstalled the app. I uninstalled it a few days ago after not really using it for some considerable time. I planned on taking a better picture but I couldn't do it. So I just found a halfway decent picture and put that up.
But I wanted to create a new account because the idea is to have a second chance with all of those women who declined based on my first pictures. I'm not sure if Tinder works like this. I would think it does. And I was a bit concerned that I might get banned or something because I'm creating a new account using a new Facebook account but...I don't seem to be.
First match was some single mother. Immediate unmatch for me.
Second match: some woman with grainy pictures. These must have been taken with a camera phone from ten years ago. Also has a picture of her hugging a horse, which covers her face. Bit weird. But from what I can tell from these low-resolution photos, she looks alright. 30 years old and possibly lives in Edinburgh. Could be a fake profile as well. Nothing in the description.
Have to go food shopping tomorrow. I bought a muchie box two days ago that I'm trying to subsist on. God, it's just inedible. The first one I bought was good. Every subsequent one has been horrible. I keep trying them just to soak up the local culture but they're shit.
The little Indian battered chicken is awful. I throw away the Indian battered mushrooms. The Indian battered vegetable things are usually okay but they're awful in this one. I ate the kebab meat and pita but it wasn't good. There were like three onion rings (as per usual) and those weren't good. Why only three onion rings, by the way? Are onions expensive? They should give you loads.
They do give loads of fries. Half the box is fries in this particular munchie box. They're edible. Tough to get fries wrong.
So the only thing I'm really eating are the fries and I chocked down the kebab meat. I might as well just get a kebab and fries. It's not worth paying for these shit munchie boxes.
