I think that I've solved one of the greatest forum mysteries: why did Wymark make a video about Gentle Ben? I mean, it was a show from the 1960s. I've never seen it. It wasn't broadcast in syndication in my lifetime. I'd be shocked if it was broadcast in the UK during Wymark's lifetime. All that I know about the show is that it's from the 1960s and starred a bear named Gentle Ben.

But then I was watching some clips on Youtube and he probably only knew about the bear from this Simpsons sequence:



There's very little Gentle Ben material out there. No episodes on Youtube. Just the intro. It seems that it starred Clint Howard, Ron Howard's brother. Ron Howard was in Happy Days. Happy Days was a long-running situation comedy in the 70s which took place in the 50s. Henry Winkler, who played Fonzie (aka "the Fonz") was the breakout star.

There was also a porn called This Ain't Happy Days XXX. It was quite an ambitious project. The set was amazing. The recreation of the Cunningham's living room was quite impressive.

Story-wise, it's a let down. I don't mean this as a joke. Of course the story in porn is never good, particularly in the modern era where there rarely is any story. But they attempted a story here and it's disappointing.

It's just random characters having sex. For example, generic cheerleaders. They have all of the Happy Days characters to choose from but instead we get Fonzie having sex with a couple of random cheerleaders. Why not Jenny Piccalo? I'm starting to see the problem, actually. There weren't many female characters.

Obviously, Mrs Cunningham is the best character to go for but they do that but I'll get to that. There's also a scene with Joannie and Ralph Malph and Potsy Weber, which is disappointing. And checking it out again, Jenny Piccalo is in a scene with Chachi. Richie merely gets a blowjob from a cheerleader in a dream sequence. Fonzie has sex with two cheerleaders while Ralph Malph and Potsy watch. The best scene is the finale wherein Fonzie has sex with Mrs C, who's wearing 1950s-style underwear.

I don't know. I think that they could have done more. Mr C is in the movie but a non-sex role. Could have done something with him. There's a sequel that apparently involves Pinky Tuscadero. Maybe that improved on things.

I saw a Good Times porn parody. Terrible. The woman who played the mother was probably about as fat as the actual character from the show but I don't want to see her doing porn. Nobody ever watched Good Times and said, "Man, I wish I could see Mama naked."

And there's a scene where JJ is with a couple of random women. Again, the characters don't interract. I guess they can't do any incest stuff. It's a bit surprising that they do these kind of parodies at all because the characters they're based on are under 18.

Like there was a Flintstones parody way back in the early 90s. I finally saw it when I got the internet. Pebbles is a character, as is Bam Bam. How are they going to do this? By making them infantile adults. But Pebbles has by far the biggest tits so they weren't trying to make the character look young.

Wilma and Betty were not at all appealing. Flat chested. It was an interesting time in porn. Implants were just becoming popular so you'd get a lot of big stars without implants but in the same film, there would be some chick with huge implants and it's night and day. "What am I watching this boob-less old hag for? I'll fast-forward to the scene with the ##### with huge fake tits."

There was also an Adams Family parody in the early 90s. Both of these last two films I mentioned starred Ron Jeremy, by the way. He was Fred in the Flintstones (Flintbones) and Uncle Fester in the Adams Family (Madams Family).

Similar thing here. Bunch of big stars with no tits. Wednesday was even fat with no tits. But then you had Cousin It (Cousin Tit) who really lived up to the monicker and saved the film.

Ona Zee was the Morticia character. I remember her being a huge star when I was first getting into porn. Look at pictures of that woman. That woman was a big star. It's unbelievable.

I think that she was even in a Wayne's World parody called Zane's World but for the life of me, I can't find any record of the existence of such a film. I remember seeing the previews and they did the "extreme close up" gag from Wayne's World but on some woman's breasts.

Oh, here it is. I wasn't imagining it. A clip was recently uploaded to Youtube. Amazing.
