Then I checked the ingredients. 75% beef.
How can a 75% beef product cost MORE than Tesco's bottom feeding own-brand which are 80% beef? They cost like twice as much. Maybe more. For a product that contains 25% mystery shit.
So I went with the 15% fat brick of ground meet. I'll have to make sloppy joes again. I had them the last time I went shopping and they didn't turn out particularly good.
Then I go to the bread aisle. No bread. I don't mean that there was a poor selection. The last time I went there, a few days ago, all they had was wholemeal and similar shit that nobody wants. But this time, no bread whatsoever.
They had bagels. So I got bagels. How am I going to eat sloppy joes with bagels? Sometimes the hole isn't very big so that's what I have to hope for.
Three inches of snow causes a three day shutdown of the whole of Scotland (and possibly the UK at large) and serious bread shortages. It's completely insane. Why is there no bread? The truck drivers can't drive on snow? These are professional drivers in big 18 wheelers who may even have snow tyres.
It's like living in a third world country. The country ceases to function and turns to mob rule over three inches of snow. By the way, the courts also closed.
And there's not even much snow now. This is five days after the snow. It's just patches of slush now. Get the bread trucks moving again.
