completely agree. we have a 1st year apprentice at the moment. he has no interest in cars/bikes etc. i think theres only 1 thing he tinkers with at home. i dont know the answer, when we spoke to the training body, the guy said he only knows of 1 trainee in his area who has any real interst in what he is training for as a profession. without wanting to sound like a grumpy old man, (well not that old actually), i think the parents push the kids into doing some sort of training, without realising whats involved in this profession. that feels better, i can get on with life now after cleansing my feelings
