I'm surprised at the low response that my initial posting has had, is it that nobody can be bothered with apprentices or do we just roll over and pay and let the training companies and colleges reap the benefit. All the training groups get a payment from the government to train,on the assumption that the trainee is on day release the college supplies 20% of training and the rest of the time the apprentice is trained in the garage and expected to be paid for the privilege.We supply tools expertise and time and put up with pressure that not many people would handle.
