I also have had dealings with the vat over this issue, vat helpline told me on two seperate calls to charge vat on mots.a call to fsb confirmed that vat office is wrong.we charge £10.00 plus £1.75 vat plus mot at cost £33.oo total £44.75. Providing it passes of course.
