I have just been hit with the same problem but have had the VAT policies commitee agree that I can pay my supplier of MOTs The difference between the trade price and the full price. This has to back dated for three years. This works out cheaper than paying the vat amount on the mots. obviously its down to wether your supplier will agree to reinvoice you for the extra amounts. I know I'd rather be paying my Mot supplier who I have been using for the last fifteen years than the goverment. Mark M
