Have to agree with you there John! We have been using the new system now for about 8 months and it just seems a lot of hard work for nothing. As you say, it's hard work explaining to customers that they are charged at cost and then a fee added to the labour???? I asked the jobsworth at the vat office if he would expect to pay cost price for his groceries at Tesco when he shops?? He was puzzled by my remark and could not understand what I was on about?? So I asked him why it should be that we sell a product for exactly the same price at what we pay for it?? He still seemed baffled by what I was asking him???? It don't give you much confidence in them does it! As you say, we still get the full fee at the end of the invoice, but it does seem a lot of work that we are doing for the vat man!
