I agree about the configuration to fitted equipment issue. But why then does a Volvo V/S70 (and probably others in the range)throttle body need coding to the car?
It just seems hopelessly OTT to me.
It won't be long before headlamp bulbs need coding to the car ......Oh dear I think that has happened already (or at least the fault code needs clearing on some cars with HID).
One day you'll have to go to the dealers to buy the right fuel for your car
