Although we cannot predict where the future of car repair lies. The attack on the independents as already begun. The only people who don't seem to realize it are the car buying public. Lets hope its not to late when they eventually wake up and smell the coffee. They are not going to like paying the extortionate fees the dealers will be able to charge. I Also the agree that the skills gap between the graduates who design cars and the people who repair them is massive. The reason being the motor trade as always been poorly paid and attracts people like me and you who have an unexplainable fascination with the motor car, and lets not forget its always been physically and mentally tough career choice. Maybe in the distant future one of the major manufactures will realize they have gone to far, and start to give the people what they really want. A car that is safe ,comfortable, reliable, and repairable at a fair price by the independents. I hope I'm around to see it because when they do they will sell in their millions.... Power to the people!!! Paul...
