That's the term that springs to mind when I hear about these megga cheap deals.
last year, I had a Ford dealer local to me that was offering a £15.99 MOT (£20 retest). They were a new setup & needed to put bums on seats.
I think that you have to ask yourself, if the type of motorist who is prepared to compromise their safety & that of their families, for a saving of £20 or so, are these the kind of customers that you are trying to attract or even keep?
I suppose my opinion might be different, if I were in my first year trading & trying to build up a customer base. As it stands though, I am happy for these outfits to cut their own throats. It keeps the wrong type of customer from gracing my doorstep.
Honest & fair testing is the key to a loyal following I think!
