I would like a pointer on this one please.
The vehicle suffered a flat battery about a week ago and since then after fitting a new battery, it has a stalling problem. The stalling only occurs on hot/cold start up when the engine runs for approx 8 secs then dies. It will start up again straight away and continue stalling after about the same amount of time. To overcome this, if the engine is held at fast idle for the 8 secs, then drop to idle, then it will not stall. Vehicle drives fine, and all checks including emissions are perfect.
Two questions: On EOBD check, it came up with 2 fault codes. PO300- misfire, PO303 - misfire no 3 cylinder. These have cleared down. Using the Sagem protocol, it comes up with addition codes which are: PO335- Engine speed sensor, PO010- Camshaft sensor. These 4 codes will not clear down on the Sagem protocol. So, perhaps they need to be cleared down KOEO. This is the key card system, and although I know how to get the manual gearbox systems into KOEO, I do not know how to do this with automatics. It may be the fault codes are a red herring and the fault has been caused by changing the battery and perhaps there is a way of re-adapting/resetting the ECU.
I have driven the vehicle for about 25 mins to see if there is a re-learning process and cleaned out the throttle body. I have also changed no 3 plug and swopped no 3 ignition coil with No 4. Any further guidance would be appreciated.
