1)Difficult cold start (starts eventually but seems to run on 1 or 2 cylinders on the starter for a while before it picks up and runs) Once warm it starts with little difficulty.
2) Misses at arround 2000 with much smoke.
3) couldnt pull skin off custard
4) Glow light flashes continuously but no MIL
5) Code P2338 stored
All started quite suddenly with a dramatic loss of power (max speed 50MPH) but then a non-restart so the guy got a tow home last night (getting home at 4 am!) was able to start it in manner described above but only produced barely enough power to get it off the AA wagon and back onto his drive.
He admits to putting petrol in it about 500 miles ago but insists that he didnt start the car and a mobile fuel recovery person (!?!) drained his tank and flushed it with fresh diesel before starting it and that untill last night there had been no problem.
From what I have read elswhere this sounds like bad news! Anybody have any sugestions
