    Hi Paul
Yes it is not really losing the coding, but has located an emission problem. This could be at a time when the manufacture thinks the injectors will need testing. As for a new set it could be just one injector which has gone faulty due to incorrect servicing, diesel filter not up to spec, petrol in system, chip fat, etc. It is recommend all repairs are carried out in a clean room. The use of special equipment to clean down the engine area including a vacuum device for dirt, all apertures sealed off and any high pressure pipes are used only once. Backleak is the only test usually done on the vehicle with special adaptors, but you can improvise. Be very carefull testing resistance on these injectors as they will be damaged using most test equipment. Please remember that these systems work under very high pressure and all diesel systems, even the mechanical systems require cleaniness, with clearances down to 2 microns.
