If Labour were to come out for a confirmatory vote and push strongly for it you might have a fight on your hands but there's simply no banner to muster around for those opposed: the ground has been conceded to Farage already. Then Labour would lose the next general election and Corbyn would be history. The reason Labour have not done as well as expected in the local elections is that they have fudged and prevaricated. Above all, electors want a government (and one in waiting) to be decisive and to stick by their chosen position. Corbyn and Labour are trying to be all things to all people and not offend anyone. A recipe for disaster. Labour promised in their manifesto to honour the result of the Brexit vote. The vote was to leave. They should honour that pledge.
