Er, no, that's a man punching another man who only used words and was non-threatening. Seems pretty weird to me (and Orlov, no doubt). I don't see any 'sleight of hand' at all.

Eh? It's not possible to prove a general negative claim. It is possible to prove a specific negative claim (like your example) so long as the parameters are well defined. In the case of Everest and bakelite, then where is the claim that it is made from bakelite? There is no such claim; there is no empirical evidence that it is; there is no kind of evidence for that claim at all, not even anecdotal. So where would you place the probability that Everest is made of bakelite on a scale of 0-10?
You miss the point by about 8,848 metres, and some. Emotions shouldn't come into it, but you seem to have let them.
