I'm not taking the Observer's word for anything much. Opinion polls are strange things. Only, usually, at this stage of the game, all things considered, Labour should be far out in front of the Tories. Only these aren't 'normal' times. It would appear that after an election things will look pretty much the same as now. Parliament, like the country split down the middle. What happens then? Anyway, it's not so much Labour that concerns me, it's the fact that the Tories appear, after everything that's happened, to be doing so well. How does one explain that? How is it possible for so many people to be fooled by such a raving demagogue as Boris Johnson? Why do so many people, including millions who are 'workig class', vote for the Tories? In a rational world, in a functioning democracy the Tories should be in single figures, surely?
