Excuse my cynicism, but you speaks of 1000s of years, our plant is actually billions of years in age and humans have inhabited it for the blink of an eyelid in real terms, so lets get real about climate change, which is that it happens regardless of man being on the planet or not. And, let now get to the 'manufactured' part of the so called 'climate emergency', which, funnily enough we've known about for more than 40 years, and, how its only now, when we are beyond the tipping point, that our masters become worried. And why do they become worried I ask myself, which is easy to answer when you look at the FIRE economy that exists after 40 years of neoliberal economic orthodoxy, with that economy threatened by rising tides and rising temperatures. I mean, who'll pay for the loss of Real Estate in London, New York and other coastal cities, never mind the fantasy cities now constructed in the Middle East? Personally speaking, I'd string the blighters up, but that's me. Instead, its a case of the average Joe bailing out the elite once more, which will only stop when said elite are removed and human's learn how to live within their ecosystem, rather than destroy it continually for profit.
