...... some creepy man groped me under the table. Shock and horror. Twenty years ago, too, I've had PTSD ever since.
Everyone, including me2 needs to get a grip, not on the thigh but on their sense of proportion.
There's hardly a woman in the world - fat, fair, ugly, beautiful, thin or Amazonian - that wouldn't have an episode or two of unwelcome / unasked for male attention of this annoying kind. Most women, unless brought up in a convent, should have been able in adulthood to deal with such matters in the appropriate way, and not by seeking victimhood.
To rake this up now, after all this time, for goodness sake. Women, you need to grow up and get some balls or if that's too much to ask, a thicker skin, especially around the thighs.
There's going to be two effects from this "revelation":
One, lots of males will back Johnson for the sake of male solidarity in the face of what are seen a unreasonable attacks, rampant feminism and PC gone mad.
Two, it's a gross insult to all those women, and there are lots of them, who have a genuine grievance as to how they've been seriously mis-treated by many men, either as individuals or as an institution, whether it's domestic violence, sexual assault, rape, or demeaning treatment or workplace discrimination etc. that such a relatively minor infringement of male behaviour should somehow be equated with these much more serious and deep seated inter-gender relationship problems. .
This sounds more like a petty grievance with political overtones rather than anything women in general should be concerned about. On the other hand it tends to confirm what most of us already knew (men and women) that Johnson is a creep, in which case why do so many women vote for him? Not much solidarity there, is there?
