"Yup, Walter, I read all the posts which is why I asked about the insistence of seeing women as eternal victims, for ever and always oppressed by male lechery."
Non-sequitur. Funny you haven't pointed out any examples in the posts then. Most people are just 'insisting on seeing' Boris as a letch.
"And thanks, by the way, for the laugh - almost as funny as the original 'broken' story, that Ms Edwardes was 'just letting women know' so they could vote accordingly. Really? Seriously? Don't you even wonder about the timing of this revelation? Johnson has been a public figure for a long time and yet there has been no mention of this story. So why is Ms Edwardes trundling it out now?"
Er, the timing was the point Sue - election looming, and Johnson seeking re-election - and....women vote? Can't put it any clearer. Glad it made you laugh, though.
I have to say it doesn't look like you do read the posts - that may be unfair because you don't respond to material points anyway, often carrying on with a refuted claim.
"I'll say it again - dealing with unwanted sexual attention by friends, co-workers, bosses, Uncle Tom Cobbley and all is something grown-ups do. She was an adult when this allegedly happened, a journalist so presumably good with words and she couldn't come up with a witty put-down that would have got her message across? "
Say it again and again if you want, the story was about Boris's actions - the woman's reaction was irrelevant to that. But your point isn't very 'adult' - when as has been pointed out, it was her boss who was feeling her up, so even a brilliant and 'adult' put-down would likely cost her her job.
