John, I'm not anti-vax but I am of the generation who came of age before the MMR jab was in use and, in fact, had measles as a child as did most of my contemporaries. I don't recall either myself or school mates being subsequently laid low by infection after infection. If what the research conclusions described in your linked article are correct, surely one ought to be able to detect increased rates of illness and death in historic mortality and morbidity figures? Do you know if this has ever been done?
