Conversely, I have had it too and it was tremendously mild. My mother also had it in her late eighties and it too was mild, although I do believe it affected her hearing. Both my children had chicken pox when very young (daughter three, son six months) and in both it was very, very mild. Both were breastfed for two and a half years. Neither were vaccinated. Organism's responses to attacks vary considerably and outside of the obvious, is probably little understood.
