I have three brothers and we all cross infected each other with the childhood infectious diseases. The only time I can remember a side effect from an illness was when I was sensitive to light. Chicken pox or measles? No vaccinations in those days! There was always a fear of contracting polio in my childhood and teenaged years but luckily we all stayed free.
