It's so easy to be glib. Are we to believe that five years down the line we will be in the same place irrespective of who wins? If not, what is to be done about it? Outside of a hung parliament, the choice is possibly remain, possibly leave under Corbyn or leave under Johnson and that simply isn't six of one, half dozen of another. We might have been strong-armed to where we are, but here we are. I rent form a private landlord. I do not have private health insurance. I have two children, one of whom is about to start university and I'd quite like her to start her adult life without £50,000 worth of debt. I believe in nationalisation of the utilities and other essentials. I quite like the idea of Palestine being recognised and no longer selling arms to Israel etc., etc. Will it all be achieved? Probably not because every step of the way, Corbyn will have a fight on his hands both from within and without, but there's more of a chance under him than under Johnson, that's for sure.
