I'm under no illusions, Keith. I agree with most of what you and Derek say (and always have), but in this instance, on the issue of voting for Corbyn or not, I think you are wrong. Short of revolutionary change (which just isn't cricket...), we are where we are and chipping away, making small gains is probably the best one can realistically hope for. Capitalism is not going away any time soon. If Corbyn manages to achieve just one of his more significant promises, that would be worth voting for and certainly so if that one were recognising Palestine or stopping arms sales to Israel and Saudi Arabia. Will he? Who knows. Maybe not, but certainly not if he doesn't get in. The forces aligned against him are immense and powerful. It's hard to believe that the last four years of abuse have been a double bluff which is reason enough to hold your nose and vote. Incidentally, all this talk reminded me of this fine scene from Leone's great 'Duck You Sucker'. I've posted it before, but thought I'd bung it up again. Cheers.
