IE: War on Christianity from the secular standpoint Archived Message

Fascinating to see you secular humanists tying yourselves in knots because there's nothing sacred but man, er, unless it's abortion, er, no, yes. It's like the Moral Maze on Radio 4! For me you're making distinctions without (fundamental) differences: murder of what's valuable in life - sacred places, cultural inheritance - is a sin akin to murder. This has been long recognised in the crime of desecration. Sounds implausible? Consider the position of those, many here, who laugh at the desecration of churches or deny the destruction of Christianity in Palestine, Egypt, Iraq, and Europe. All going hand-in-hand with murder. What world are they standing for? Looks a lot like the fundamentalist Islamic one of obsessive iconoclasm and empty arrogance - indeed this is an actual alliance with a long pedigree.
