It's happening in the UK as of now: yesterday's muddled message and the sight of a vertical Boris Johnson have opened the floodgates... Tescos car park was full this evening; they've taken down the tape that used to guide the queue all round the far edge of the site; the store itself was packed with people who'd actually brought their kids with them; the road back was 15 or 20 times as busy as it was on last Thursday's trip... Since literally nothing has been done to put in place a mechanism for 'test-isolate-trace', all that's happening is that the brake is being taken off the 'let it move through the population' machine... Second wave of infection hitting ICUs around *May 10th*...? M. |
