cheers. It's a f'ing massive relief. "It seems nobody knows what's really going on or how to deal with it." I think this is almost entirely the problem. Everyone has a position based on past data from flu or ebola or whatever rather than accepting that this is a "novel" virus and that if any of the assumptions made are wrong then the data you output is garbage. Someone should have said - "Out in the real world if they feel the need to build a 1000 bed hospital in China in 1 week what do they know that we are not counting in our models which say treat it like flu?" Dealing with it now involves massive testing though we still don't seem to have accepted that. |
