Some good books on the Resistance War Against America: "Kill Anything that Moves" - Nick Turse "The American War in Vietnam" - John Marciano Both these books cut through the usual narrative of the war. Fiction: "The Sorrow of War" - Bao Ninh. Tells the story from the other side and is one of the greatest novels written about any war. "The Sympathizer" - Nguyen Viet Thanh. I have to admit I've not read this but it's got a lot of decent reviews so it's on the list. |
