There's a big literature about this film, some of which I've read, and there are 'funny haha!' reports circulating in it about how the big explosive/napalm set-pieces would blow snakes up in the air, so they landed on the people doing the lighting and filming. Breaks my heart to think of the unnoticed animal holocaust that is casually enmeshed into such cinematic spectacle... M. |
