Meanwhile, the Viet Cong defenders scramble around, largely helpless in the face of this vastly superior weaponry. I don't see that, I see organisation and adherence to a defence scheme. The schoolkids are led smartly away from the school. The infrastructure is already there - tunnels, sandbagged trenches, the big machine-gun disguised by fishing nets. The Vietnamese even hit two of the helicopters as they are being overrun and massacred. As the invaders surf, the Vietnamese are still replying with mortar fire. The Vietnamese are clearly outgunned but not outclassed and make the Seppo bastards pay a price. |
