but I would say it was impossible to organise a rational alternative which people will buy into if you spend the rest of the time minimising and denying the obvious problem. I take Socrates "the only thing i know is that i know nothing" as a useful catachism. However waiting to act until all the facts are in has the potential to act until we're all off a cliff. The same tactics used to delay action against global warming and I'm ashamed to reflect on how little I've done to correct against that criminal enterprise. |
