At the moment, an obvious problem that is being minimised and denied is the self-destruction of the economy and much of society. Unfortunately, I think it will be extremely difficult to get any serious action on global warming as a result of this draconian overreaction. People, once realizing what an absolute disaster has occurred in their countries, will not want some sort of repeat of living under stringent measures (eg giving up their cars, rationing their heating). |
