As can be deduced from the graphs here: https://members5.boardhost.com/xxxxx/msg/1589918711.html ...the lockdown has done what it says on the tin and brought down the virus numbers to about where they were beforehand. What Dan obviously means by "...without doing anything effective to deal with the threat." refers to a strict vertical testing & isolation regime which should have been ready to come into force at this point in time. Instead the governments preparations are half baked and it's central strategy appears to be keeping its fingers crossed that there won't be a prominent second outbreak. -Of course I think you knew exactly what Dan meant but much prefer to indulge in indignant bombast. |
