I accept that the simple male-female divide may not be as simple as we might like to think. If we extend that across species it will be even more complex. Think of monoecious and dioecious plants, for example. But man and woman only apply to humans not to other species. They are more cultural than biological. That's why I like to distinguish male-female as biological categories from man-woman as cultural categories. Mixing them up does not help. I think I'll give up trying to define things. I'll leave that to the Labour party.
