"...makes it difficult to organize anything" -It makes it easy to do lots entirely incognito. "Furthermore, keeping track of people via their gadgets is very easy. Forcing people to have Apps so they can be tracked is dream for the security state." Um... hate to be the bearer of bad news but that been the case with all smartphones for quite some time and the COVID app is entirely voluntary. "For a government that's supposedly interested in businesses making money they're going about it in a very strange way- destroying large numbers of them." Well that's the reason they wanted to brazen it out in the first place but they eventually came to realise it involved lots of death and a failed health service so the new strategy utilised half baked lockdowns as a delaying mechanism until the vaccines arrived, which is where we are. Certainly there are winners and losers because of the lockdown but your notion that its a conspiracy for banks to hoover up "bankrupt high street shops" doesnt make much sense considering a lot of the high street was becoming increasingly irrelevant anyway long before Covid. Its certainly boosted online buying and entertainment and remote/home working but a large percentage of the big corporations are heavily invested in that rentierism: office shop & commercial property which has taken a huge hit and is unlikely to recover to previous levels, so its swings and roundabouts for the corporates.
