Well put Gary. I advocated longlining only in my submission for snapper. What sort of fishery would we have if no nets were used within say 10 ks ks of the shoreline? It is achievable if you push past the National Party cronies masquerading as fishermen and there meek and mild friends. Real fishermen stand up and say no.
