The surfcasting season is only just starting. It is predominantly a warm weather sport, the winter months are generally spent scratching to get a fish.

There have been a few nice fish landed already and the signs are looking good for the coming weeks.

I have put several threads on here about rigs, also how to make a tripod rod rest, in my opinion far superior to a beach spike. I have also made suggestions for keeping rigs, stopping them from tangling in you bag. I have also shown how to build a robust tackle box that can be used as a seat.

In the season I regularly post videos on YouTube, my next video project will be shot on the beach showing a three hook clipped down rig for stability when casting. The important part about this venture will be all the necessary requirements are available from Tackle Tactics.
