Tesco's Finest hamburger patties: 94% beef. You can really taste the difference. They look smaller than a typical quarter pound beef patty but that's another option. Instead of giving me a 75% beef/25% mystery shit product, give me a 100% beef patty that's 25% smaller. I'd be happy with that. "Happy" might be too strong a word but it's better than getting this mystery meat. 94% is way better than most "beef" patties that I've seen in the UK but still 6% less beef than it should be. Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe I just didn't pay attention to the labels of the beef patties in the US. Although, I distinctly remember seeing "100% beef" in huge letters on all of the packaging. Maybe it was just a marketing thing, though. No. I was right. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-100-Pure-Beef-Patties-8lbs/10804578#read-more Even Walmart sells 100% beef products. Ingredients: 100% beef. And look at the price. 32 quarter pound patties for $20. That's £14.50. 45p a patty. Tesco's Finest are £3 for 4 patties. That's 75p a patty. 60% |
