Got the keys from these clowns. Bunch of incompetents. They tell me after I arrive that I have to pay £1250 or they won't give me the keys. I mean, yeah, typically one pays before the keys are given but this should have been done ages ago. They don't know what they're doing.

I also mention when I'm there, "Do you need my passport?" Because I think it's a legal requirement now. They said, "Well...technically we do but..." so I say, "Because I have it with me." So they say, "Okay, I'll take it." Then they made a photocopy.

They also said, "We also never got references from you. We need references. Do you have a reference from your employer?" So I say, "I'm self-employed but I've brought my tax returns." They said, "Okay, I'll take it". Then they made a photocopy.

Total dumbasses. And these aren't the young people that one often sees in lettings agents. This was a middle aged woman. A middle aged woman with a really bad attitude.

Unfortunately, I'm working all week. I'll have to check that place out before I move in. Make sure the keys work. They gave me 10 keys for some bizarre reason and didn't say what any of them did. "It's best that you figure it out yourself." What a pathetic bitch.
