I think that I'm going to look for another flat. I went to view the place today. It wasn't cleaned to a professional standard, really shit blinds, holes in the walls from where the doorknob hits, hole in the bathroom ceiling from a flooding problem. It's just not good. I'm paying a premium price for a pretty crappy flat.

Worst of all, and explaining all of this, there's a little dish in the kitchen that says "Jerusalem" on it.

But here's the good news: it's a great time to be a tenant in Scotland. If I want to move out the day after I move in, I can do that. No more six month or 12 month leases. No minimum terms. I can leave whenever I want.

So I think that's the answer. I need to look for a legitimate luxury flat. Not just a flat with a luxury price but a flat with luxury quality.
