Went to view a flat today. It was in the same development that I used to live in, the only flat that I ever actually liked in the UK.

Holy shit. What a dump. And they wanted £600/month for it. Yeah, right. I'm paying that now for a two bedroom place that isn't totally dilapidated. And I was paying £550 for that place that I liked in the same development.

They're out of their mind. A tiny one bedroom place. The kitchen cupboards were missing. There was just the skeleton of where the kitchen cupboards used to be. So I said, "So what are you going to do about these cupboards?" The woman was perplexed. "I guess you could put a picture there." How about replacing them, you moron?

The cupboard under the sink was almost falling apart. The wood was OLD and the thing was off its hinges. Couldn't be closed. Never in my life have I see wood so old that I actually recognised it as old wood.

The refigerator was in the kitchen while the freezer was in the living room. Because there wasn't room for both in the kitchen. You must be joking.

The whole flat was tiny and run down. Fuck no.

I'm looking for something luxurious. I'm thinking concierege, gym, pool, whatever. I just can't seem to find such places. Maybe they don't exist here.

So anyway, the search continues. I'm working like every day for the next two months, though, so...viewings are difficult.
