I wonder why they made the change, though. The old promotion was definitely two for one. And they still have a two for one deal. Indeed, you can now get two pizzas for the price of one EVERY DAY at Papa John's. The caveat is that it's pick up only.
I wonder how much it would cost to have an Uber Eats guy pick it up and drop it off. That's what Uber Eats does, isn't it?
Actually, it doesn't seem to be. This just looks like Just-Eat. But they have a lot of McDonalds so...it probably is Uber drivers picking this shit up as opposed to drivers employed by the restaurant. Some restaurants on Just-Eat do this too but it's shit. I don't want to support that.
I don't support anything that Uber does. I need a taxi, I get a taxi. I don't use a company that exploits people and pays them a pittance.
But yeah, this Uber Eats is almost certainly Uber drivers picking up and dropping off food. There's not just every McDonalds here, there's also the Krispy Cream in the train station. They certainly don't have delivery drivers.
So theoretically, you can probably order an Uber to pick up your pizza from Papa John's but why would you? That driver was pissed off when he delivered my order because my doorbell was on "silent" mode and he had to call me. But when I told him that he didn't have to give me any change back for a £17.50 bill when I gave him a £20, he was delighted. £2.50 brightened up that guy's day.
Also weird is that this guy was white Scottish. It's almost always immigrants who do this job.
People just don't care about the destructive nature of Uber and Air B&B (or whatever) and these sorts of companies. "If it saves me a few pennies, I'm down."
