Old customer of ours came in to ask about servicing his new van it's a Fiat Doblo. I explained the new rules best I could and he was still unsure and was worried it would effect his Fiat warranty. I told him to phone the Fiat main dealer which he did.
They said yes your local garage can service your van providing the use genuine parts and stick to the service schedule.....But he would loose out on his third year of warranty. After more discussion I suggested ringing Fiat UK customer services and ask the same question. This he did. The lady on the other end was very straight with him.......No problem with your local garage servicing your vehicle etc etc..He then asked about the third year of his warranty going AWOL. She told him that they've said that purely to put the freighters on him as they don't want to loose his business. This was from Fiat themselves. He's now booked the car in for a 24000 mile service next week.
Any of you guys out there had similar experiences with the new rules. Hey there's a lot of work and new cars out there waiting to be serviced.
