Hi Peter, You are absolutely right, the motoring bodies have been slow to 'advertise' the changes to block exemption, but as you say, they also have members within the dealer networks, so don't necessarily want to 'rock the boat'. As I pointed out in the last round of similar posts, we do have a supply of leaflets & posters about this fact, that clearly states the law & how it affects YOUR customers, unfortunately we are having to charge for these, as the print & paper doesn't come cheap. Ask your BDE for prices & a sample. This does just help to make it easier for you to explain it to your customers & they have something in 'black & white' to reassure them. There was also a few minute article on Top Gear a few months ago, but that didn't go nearly far enough, perhaps again, they didn't want to upset the manufacturers/dealers that lend them the cars!!! If anyone outside our area is interested in these leaflets/posters, please feel free to e-mail me & I'll see if there's a way we can supply them to you. Kind regards, Rob Drinkwater.
