I would have thought that after such a period of time, and if you did not do the job for that customer, then it shouldn't be your problem, Also I would want to know from the supplier, how long this supplement has been added. If this supplement wasn't available at the time when you bought the belt then it is the manufacturers problem. and if it was available, it's the suppliers problem. So long after the job was done, How can anyone say who said what when the belt was ordered, You could have given them the wrong info or they could have supplied the wrong parts for the vehicle. At the end of the day, the customer has bought an old car without any warranty, You did not offer him any.
