The gentleman 'phoned back today. He has a bill for £1250-00 (quite reasonable, I thought) and what was I going to do about it? My reply " I am doing nothing". He then got a bit agitated and would not accept the "no warranty" argument. He maintains that since the wrong part was fitted, and I should have known it was wrong (otherwise why am I still in business he implied), then the normal warranty argument does not apply. He is now intent on taking it further so I told him to go ahead if that was his intention. The thing that concerns me is the possible implications for ALL of us if some judge who's having a bad day and just been ripped off by some garage....you fill in the blanks.
